We had a few hours in the morning to run around Vancouver gathering all the forgotten items that we were going to need for the cruise… a belt for me and some gloves for Brian and Jeff. The kids were little troopers, who knew they’d become key figures in a cycling scavenger hunt [see photo of Taylor and Aiden dancing]? It was nice to get on the ship after the long embarkation and customs lines.
We caught an early train up from Seattle. The weather was spectacular! We met up with my brother and his family at the hotel. After a couple phone calls and texts, Tonya and her boyfriend arrived to play “Tour Guides”. It was so great to meet up with Tonya, it had been nearly 20 years since we had last seen each other in person.
