With the kids, the dog, 9 fish and enough electronic equipment to supply a small start-up business all packed in the van, we headed to the lake for the month of July. Less than 24 hours later, we were driving back home with heavy hearts and questions like, “Now, what are we gonna do?” Ah, the woes of an ancient lake house and an even older septic tank.
Thanks to the quick thinking and planning of my dear friend Kristin, we were off on a new adventure to the North Georgia Mountains.
The cabin was a fabulous and fit 3 adults and 5 kids beautifully. With a river in the back yard and a bunch of tubes, we had a blast! We hiked, tubed, hiked some more, fished, tubed some more, geocached, and saw a part of Georgia that we’d never seen before. It was a success, except for the 2 flat tires and a bee sting.
